Who doesn't love the smell of citrus in the morning? A smile when pouring orange juice or even when dusting with pine sol? There's something just... happy about citrus. DōTERRA's Citrus Bliss is a blend of oils that smell like a pocketful of sunshine and is excellent in having a positive affect on the environment.



Ingredients in Blend

  • Wild Orange Essential Oil -- Energizing aroma with a high in the natural chemical constituent limonene.

  • Lemon Essential Oil -- Crisp, bright aroma and a potent purifying agent.

  • Grapefruit Essential Oil -- Invigorating aroma with cleansing and purifying properties.

  • Bergamot Essential Oil -- Embodies both both an uplifting and calming properties via aromatherapy and topical application.

  • Lime Essential Oil -- Embodies both refreshing and energizing properties.

  • Red Mandarin Essential Oil -- Comprised of 65–75% limonene and gamma-Terpinene (γ-Terpinene), both of which contributes to its cleaning properties.

  • Green Mandarin Essential Oil -- Renowned surface-cleansing properties and fresh, energizing aromatic traits.

  • Litsea Essential Oil -- Refreshing and rejuvenating aroma.

  • Tonka Bean Absolute -- Rich aroma with notes of vanilla, almonds, cinnamon, and cloves, which is often used in perfumes.

  • Vanilla Absolute -- Warm, comforting aroma.


Chemical Composition

Limonene is a cyclic monoterpene found in several essential oils including citrus oils as well as Black Pepper, Celery Seed, Spearmint, and Dill essential oils. Limonene holds detoxifying and purifying properties which makes it a valuable in cleansing hard surfaces and supports the body's gastrointestinal and immune systems when ingested.


Gamma-Terpinene (γ-Terpinene) possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties with a citrus aroma mixed with pine.





Uses for Citrus Bliss

The main use for Citrus Bliss is aromatherapy to enhance the environment as a mood boost. It can also be used topically and internally. Topical uses include cleaning and polishing hard surfaces, nail polish remover, and to clean and enliven skin complexion. DoTERRA has recipes to incorporate it into smoothies and as a curd for internal use of this essential oil. This blend can also be used to enhance focus when in combination with both lavender and peppermint essential oils at a drop ratio of 2:2:2 which can either be applied to the skin or diffused.
